Yadkin Valley Animal Shelter

Animal shelters are a social service that help protect animals from dangerous situations, cruelty, and abuse and find them a loving home to call their own!

MaxThere are roughly 3 million dogs & cats at shelters in the US today that need homes.
Why rescue? You’re saving a life and helping an animal in need, they are great companions and eager to love you, they also add joy and healthy activities to your life.

Meet our sweet pup Max (a lab mix), we rescued almost a year ago from The Yadkin Valley Animal shelter, the cost was $100 to rescue him, and we were able to take him home the same day. Max was found as a stray, and he instantly clicked with us, but It didn’t come without some new challenges. Max had separation anxiety and wanted to go where ever we went. He just couldn’t sit down and relax until he went in his crate for bed, Max also liked to chew up his bed, leashes, and remote controls and jump up on people. He has slowly overcome and adapted to his new home, and we have learned a routine together. Max loves to play frisbee and enjoys his walks, he is so loving, and we are happy to have him join our family!
